9-1-1 Policy

VoIP 9-1-1 service differs from traditional landline 9-1-1 service in several important ways. Please review this policy to understand how emergency calling works, its limitations, and your responsibilities when using TJ Tech Solution's VoIP services.

911 Emergency Service (E911) Policy

Last Updated: July 2026

Emergency 911 Calling Notice

TJ Tech Solution provides Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and Cloud Phone System services. While our services support Enhanced 911 (E911) where available, VoIP-based emergency calling differs from traditional landline 911 services.

Please read this notice carefully to understand the limitations of VoIP emergency calling.

Important Limitations

Our VoIP service depends on several factors that may affect your ability to place emergency calls, including:

  • Active internet connection
  • Electrical power availability
  • Properly configured VoIP equipment
  • Accurate registered service address
  • Availability of third-party emergency service providers

If any of these services are unavailable, your 911 call may fail or may not be routed correctly.

Registered Service Address

Your emergency calls are routed using the physical service address registered with your account.

It is your responsibility to ensure that your registered address is accurate and up to date.

If your business relocates or you use your VoIP service from another location, you must notify TJ Tech Solution immediately before using the service.

Failure to update your address may result in emergency responders being dispatched to the wrong location.

Calling 911

When placing an emergency call:

  • Clearly state your location.
  • Provide your callback telephone number.
  • Do not disconnect until instructed by the emergency operator.
  • If disconnected, immediately call 911 again.

Power and Internet Outages

VoIP services rely on both electricity and internet connectivity.

911 emergency calling may not function during:

  • Power outages
  • Internet outages
  • Network failures
  • Equipment malfunctions
  • Service interruptions

We strongly recommend maintaining an alternative means of contacting emergency services, such as a mobile phone.

Service Relocation

VoIP devices can often be moved easily between locations.

Emergency services may not automatically recognize your new location.

Always update your service address before using your phone at a different location.

Customer Responsibilities

By using TJ Tech Solution’s VoIP services, you agree to:

  • Maintain accurate emergency address information.
  • Inform all users of your phone system about the limitations of VoIP 911 service.
  • Keep backup communication methods available.
  • Test your service only in accordance with local emergency authority guidelines.

Service Availability

Although TJ Tech Solution works with reliable telecommunications providers, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access to emergency services.

Emergency service availability depends on third-party carriers, internet providers, power availability, and local emergency networks.

Limitation of Liability

TJ Tech Solution shall not be liable for any inability to access emergency services resulting from:

  • Internet failure
  • Power outage
  • Incorrect address information
  • Customer equipment failure
  • Third-party carrier issues
  • Circumstances beyond our reasonable control
